It's a week of highs and lows for Ronnie after Jack proposes to her. The drama unfolds after Peggy cajoles Jack into popping the question. Unfortunately, Ronnie spots Peggy's "congratulations" banner in The Vic before Jack's even had a chance to get down on one knee.
At first Ronnie's furious but, after a few quiet moments with Jack, she eventually says "yes". But there's an unhappy ending to this particular love story when Jack catches Ronnie in the bathroom, sticking a pin in a condom.
Feeling betrayed, Jack tells Ronnie she's just as manipulative as her dad Archie, whereupon his devastated fiancée roars off on her bike, leaving her engagement ring behind. What's more, it looks as if she's gone for good.
Meanwhile, Syed's doing his best to avoid Christian in the wake of that Big Gay Muslim Kiss. But Christian's not easily put off and cheekily tells Amira he pulled a new man at the weekend, knowing she’ll go straight back to Syed with the news.
In other news, Denise invites Lucas's ex, Trina, over to dinner – but she suddenly loses her appetite when Trina drops the bombshell that she slept with Lucas at Christmas.
